Physiatry physician job in Connecticut : CPH# JOB-2450369 An exciting physical medicine and rehabilitation physician opportunity is now available in Connecticut. They are seeking a board eligible or board certified physiatrist for placement in Milford / New Haven, CT and surrounding cities for sub-acute rehabilitation (SARs)/skilled nursing facility (SNFs). You will serve as consultants to well-managed, subacute skilled nursing facilities. They will work collaboratively with medical directors, attending physicians, nurse practitioners and therapists to improve functional outcomes of patients receiving short term rehab services.The job is very flexible and stand-alone, and entails rounding on medically stable patients in nursing facilities. All the patients in the nursing facility already have a primary care physician or a primary nurse practitioner who is managing the medical aspects of the patient. As such, the duties of the PM&R physician would mainly be to concentrate on the rehabilitation aspect of the patient. There would be very low to no medical management on the end of the PM&R physician. We can offer very competitive and incentivized reimbursements, and different part-time options. Depending on how ambitious, and how much you want to work, we estimate the physician can make anywhere from $150K per year for part-time light duty, three to six hours a week.
