SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team and looking an Invasive Species Control Specialist to work in our Ecological Restoration Group. This position requires occasional travel in order to complete restoration projects throughout the Northeast. Must have a strong interest in invasive plant management.
What you will accomplish
* Effectively communicate with other project team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. * Implement and complete tasks and responsibilities delegated by Field Supervisors. * Take positive action and accountability for assigned work.
Experience and qualifications for success
* BA degree in relative areas of Environmental Science, wetland science, etc. * 1-3 years direct work experience in a landscaping/construction capacity * Previous herbicide application experience * MA Certified Pesticide Applicators license (desired) * Previous stormwater experience (desired) * Previous erosion control experience is (desired) * OSHA 10 or 40 hour certification (desired) * Experience at working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential * Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities * Flexible during times of change * Strong interpersonal skills * Ability to effectively execute tasks is crucial * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions * Must hold a valid driver's license
